…Our small business customers receive unsurpassed value in today’s virus control market.”…
– May 14 9:18 AM ET
My spin: Norman’s new virus control system appears to be very powerful. Norton Anti Virus works just fine for me, but it can’t hurt to check out Norman Virus Control 5 (NVC 5),
SMALL BUSINESS — A Cyber Sanctuary for Wounded Entrepreneurs (Business Week)
…SMALL BUSINESS By Theresa Forsman in New York When Nicholas Hall’s third business bit the dust in early 2000,…

My spin: Either Nicholas didn’t learn his lesson by creating stratupfailures.com or he DID learn a lesson and created startupfailurse.com!
NetObjects Gives Small Businesses One-Click Ability to Participate in Leading Global Marketplaces and Directories (PR Newswire)
NetObjects, a leading provider of e-business solutions and services, today announced that small businesses using NetObjects products and services will have one-click ability to participate in the leading marketplaces and directories worldwide.
– May 14 8:03 AM ET
My spin: I applaud NetObjects’ efforts in enabling its customers to do more than just build web sites. But by helping them to add their products to e-commerce exchanges – they’ll help their customers sell more products. HOWEVER, it should be noted, many exchanges are closing so maybe Netobjects is really not giving that much to its customers?

OfficeMax and HP Form Alliance for PC Offering (PR Newswire)
…OfficeMax and HP will provide training to OfficeMax sales associates to become HP computer experts and better assist small business customers and consumers….
– May 14 8:37 AM ET
My spin: This is a very interesting relationship and appears to be a win, win for both HP and OfficeMax. Staples’ kiosks have been a success in driving more sales and I would guess that if done right this should work well for Office Max and HP also. For whatever reason Gateway pulled out – but I guess Office Max liked the idea enough to bring in HP – a great PC vendor.

…“Small business owners often turn to their accountant or other financial consultant for advice on many aspects of managing their business,…
– May 14 6:02 AM ET
My spin: This makes sense…and I guess in some ways Bizfinity will try to bite into Intuit’s Quickbooks pie with this deal. HOWEVER, I don’t think they’ll get too big of a slice, maybe just a crumb….
