But when talk turns serious, Benioff’s sales pitch sounds eerily similar to that of software titans SAP AG , Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT – news), Oracle Corp. (NasdaqNM:ORCL – news) and PeopleSoft Inc. (NasdaqNM:PSFT – news), whose new mantra could well be: “Dot-coms are dead; long live the Internet.”
