ZDNet’s David Coursey in his 15 Nov 01 Anchor Desk column writes how Dell is so boring – and why it’s a good thing.
You won’t find snazzy PDA’s, some new bleeding edge computers, radically new form factors or etc. But pretty predictable, solidly built PCs!
Sure if you need peripherals Dell can sell those to you also, or if you need some integration or custom services Dell can definitely help out there. But why is Dell making money and doing relatively well , while their competitors, for the most part are suffering? Dell Corp knows what it takes to serve and pay 100% attention to the customer. Dell the person – has not forgot what it’s like to sell onc PC at a time. And Dell’s customer know what its like to buy a great PC at a low cost.
