PC Vendors aren’t doing so well…but Dell is doing better
With PC sales on the down, I wonder who will be around next year? The NY Times is reporting how so many PC vendors are not selling as many PC’s as they’d like and many have been forced to cut prices. Dell has made matters worse for many as Dell is fighting a brutal price war – lowering, lowering prices, and often forcing competitors to do the same.
The other thing as the NYT article correctly noted is that users who bought their PC’s only a few years ago, really don’t need a new PC and can make do with what they have. Adding memory ($30…?) and a hard drive to a PC can do wonders for it!
