Microsoft links Office to.Net
Microsoft dominates the PC space with its ubiquious Windows paltforms (98/95/2000/NT) and Microsoft Office. It’s.Net strategy is its push to create Web services enabling businesses and consumers to access and interact witht their data using the Internet as a conduit and a web browser as the interface.
A key component of.Net is to enable traditional Microsoft applications to link with.Net, web based services and this latest announcement is important in enabling programmers connect PC based applications to Internet based applications.
