Ottawa, Canada – June 17, 2002 – Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSX: COR) today announced that WordPerfectÆ 10 and QuattroÆ Pro 10 will be included on the DellÆ SmartStep 150D desktop computer. This agreement is a significant development for Corel and its ongoing relationship with Dell.
The SmartStep 150D desktop systems come pre-loaded with WordPerfect 10 and Quattro Pro 10 from Dell starting June 15, 2002. SmartStep 150D is the perfect first computer or additional home system for the Internet-savvy family. WordPerfect 10, the latest version of Corel Corporation’s award-winning word-processing package, offers customers unprecedented precision and control over their document creation. My spin:It’s very good to see that Corel is expanding its visibility and reach. I’ve used Word Perfect for over 10 years and although I’ve been forced to use Word – as most other businesses use Word – I still like to use Word Perfect!
