CEO Cites Rapid Integration as Major Factor in Selection Process
PLEASANTON, Calif., September 17, 2002-ACCPAC International, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA), announced today that HypercomÆ subsidiary Horizon Group, one of the nation’s top service providers for point-of-sale (POS) equipment, has selected ACCPACÆ end-to-end business management applications for both front and back office automation. Horizon is deploying ACCPAC’s Web-based accounting, warehouse management, customer relationship management, and e-commerce applications.
After an extensive evaluation, Horizon Group selected ACCPAC in large part because the products, which will manage a wide range of Horizon Group’s business processes, are so tightly integrated. This integration results in rapid implementation and is designed to lower overall costs.

In addition to delivering cost savings, rapid integration helps Horizon Group win more business. Horizon Group will use ACCPAC Advantage Series(tm) Web-enabled accounting modules as the backbone of its system, providing users with flexible, anytime, anywhere access. The implementation also includes warehouse management, CRM and Web store management through ACCPAC
WMS(tm), ACCPAC eCRM(tm) and ACCPAC eTransactÆ.
“Visibility to the complete system, from warehouse inventory through to the sales lead pipeline and onto our website, will give our sales and management teams a huge productivity and service advantage,” said Shipley. “And, because all the applications are so tightly integrated, we won’t have to hunt for information. My spin: There’s many CRM-ebusiness solutions to choose from, with ACCPAC being only one of many but an EXCELLENT one. I’m trying to get from Hypercom the background in their decision to use ACCPAC, what other products they looked at and etc. I think what Hypercom went through (their decision making process) can help you in your own evaluation and decision making process.
