XML-based connector enables bi-directional data transfer between the leading Professional Services Automation and business accounting software packages
Boston, MA (September 4, 2002) ≠ OpenAir, the leading professional services automation (PSA) software provider, today announced a revolutionary new way for QuickBooks customers to link their OpenAirÆ systems and their QuickBooksÆ accounting package. With the launch of Integration Managerô for QuickBooks ProÆ, professional services firms can seamlessly integrate client, project and billing data in QuickBooks with the timesheet, expense report, project and billing data in the OpenAir PSA system. This represents
the most comprehensive integration between any PSA system and the popular accounting package. (full story)
My spin:This is great for Open Air but speaks more of Intuit’s growing dominance. The more companies that build “hooks” into Quickbooks and other Intuit products the more valuable they (Intuit’s products) become. Let’s consider Microsoft applications.
Just about every application you buy comes with Microsoft Word, Excel or etc compatibility. Popularity brings popularity…..
