From Bizreport: New Bank-Owned Firm To Sell Internet Services: Teligent Inc. emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and incorporated as a new company yesterday after 16 months of operating under court supervision.
The Herndon company, once one of many splashy young telecom companies with ambitious plans to chip away at the business of the dominant local phone companies, will try to start anew and regain customers. Teligent, which now has between 2,500 and 3,000 customers, will sell Internet services, including private lines and backup networking. (full story)
