My spin Cnet reported that “Hewlett-Packard is adopting a new design philosophy, aiming to make its products easier to operate than rival offerings and so effective when used together that customers stay with the HP family when buying various devices.”
It’s interesting, HP mergers with Compaq and it appears that the merger went and is going well, now a major strategy that I think will work if they can articulate this to their customers, to make computing simpler.
This is a play right out of Sony’s book. You buy 4 Sony products and each one is going to be able to use a memory stick, making it so much easier to share data! Over time this makes loyal customers and is a definite competitive selling point.
