VarBusiness (14 April 03) reported that VAR’s channel strategy is getting mixed reviews from Vars. Some Vars like it andsome Vars don’t see any real value. One interesting thing was that at first Dell said VARs could not tell their customers that Dell made the computers…which Dell’s wanted to do as Dell has the brand name recognition. Dell, relented, but didn’t inform it’s Vars of the rules change…hmmm
