News Clip: Computers are wonderful for a wide variety of tasks, but they do tend to chain a user to a single location. When Microsoft began the marketing push for tablet PCs last year, the company touted the devices as the greatest thing since sliced bread. (No word yet on the greatest thing before sliced bread.) Is it all marketing hype, or is there something more to tablet PCs? Is the technology there? And if it is, are people ready to pay a premium for it?
