News Clip: NEW YORK – When last we left Handspring, it had just agreed to be acquired by its cousin and rival, Palm. And among the material released by both companies when they announced the deal was a tantalizing picture of what Handspring had been working on for its next device.
In the hands of Jeff Hawkins, a co-founder of both companies and design guru behind the first Palm Pilot, was a new device, the Treo 600, which was at that point still unannounced. It’s another mobile-phone-PDA combination that takes the concept of the original Treo into new territory with a smarter, smaller design
