My spin: Gateway’s retail stores – should they close? Nah. I tend to agree with Founder, Chairman and CEO Ted Waitt that the stores will help drive non-PC sales (better margins and more profits). In addition, have a retail presence is good visibility for the brand, which the past three people who came to me and asked for my opinion on buying a PC, never mentioned. They all wanted a Dell.
