My spin: I recently bought a 500MHZ, 256MBRAM, DVD, etc IBM Thinkpad from eEbay ($481) it runs well and meets by email, typing and Power Point needs just fine. Now I’ve got 3 D-Link network cards – 2 wireless ones (802.11a and 802.11b) and a wired eithernet (10/100MB) one. I’ll be away next week at a University for my annual church convention but now that I’ve got my mobile gear together (in addition to my trusty, but old Handspring Visor and Samsung cell phone) – I’m set and can keep writing even while away and update smallbiztechnology.com, delete spam and let my kids watch some DVD’s as the need arises.
