My spin: Gateway was a company on the decline. HOWEVER, every week it’s doing new things, signing new deals, pushing out new products – it’s moving on. It appears that Gateway might be on the beginning of a surge, a recovery if you will.
News Clip: Gateway, Inc. (NYSE: GTW) has formed a relationship with Sabre Travel Network, a division of
Sabre Holdings, to provide an easy way for Sabre Connected travel agents to purchase Gateway hardware.
All U.S.-based agents currently subscribing to the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) will now have access to Gateway’s E-2100 and E-4100 desktops as part of a total hardware/software solution. More than 12,600 U.S.-based agencies rely on the GDS, which virtually links agents with content from more than 400 airlines, 60,000 hotels, 53 car rental companies, nine cruise lines, 36 railroads and 232 tour operators.
