I’ve written before (read that article for perspective on THIS one) about the issue of price versus value. While IBM has determined, so far, that they will not compete on price, Dell, quite obviously has determined that they will compete on price and they are indeed.
When purchasing a PC price is very important. However, for SOME of you, it might be necessary to address some issues beyond just price alone.
To further emphasis the issue of price versus value, IBM recently high lighted one of their customers.
Fenner Drives, a leading global manufacturer of industrial belting, power transmission and motion control components, has reduced support time for PC recovery by approximately 90 percent by using IBM RapidRestore software, a ThinkVantage Technology.
