PalmOne’s new Handspring Treo 600 has almost convinced me it’s possible to merge a personal digital assistant with a mobile phone, after years of rejecting clunky hybrid “communicators” that did many things and did them all badly.
The Treo 600 is too expensive, with a list price of $599, and has a minuscule keyboard that seems designed for some futuristic race of aliens with thumbs like spaghetti strands, but the overall hardware and software design surprised me with its elegance and ease of use. (full story)
