The debate over whether Mac or PC is a less expensive platform is, at first glance, pretty easily resolved. A short shopping trip seems to provide the answer.
A visit to Apple.com reveals that the company’s professional-level desktop, the G5 , retails for US$1,799. A comparable PC, the Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) Dimension 8300, with monitor and keyboard (not included with the Mac), retails for $1,050.
My spin: Hmmm. Mac vs PC. It’s a tough call. There’s ardent fighters on both sides of the aisle. At the end of the day though – it’s what works best for you.
