Washington Post: Finding the Missing Piece in Corporate Security Puzzle

Corporations are spending millions on advanced technologies to protect important computer networks, but assessing the effectiveness of those safeguards can be a challenge in itself, said Elizabeth A. Nichols, founder of a software firm that analyzes security products.
The software created by her company, Sequation Inc., can “determine in an instant what systems, what networks will be vulnerable to that next attack” by monitoring the strength of each protective mechanism within a company’s network, she said. (full story)
