Local Arabic edition of world’s leading channel title reaches emerging reseller markets
CMP Media, a leading integrated media company serving the technology, healthcare and the music markets, has introduced its prestigious channel title CRN into the Middle Eastern market through a licensing arrangement with Al-Rakameiat Publishing FZ LLC, a Dubai-headquartered publisher. The monthly publication is written in Arabic with a circulation of 20,000. Al-Rakameiat has also launched BYTE Middle East with a circulation of 2,000 IS and IT Managers. This publication will focus on regional IT business news and product information.
“The Middle East is a rapidly growing technology-hungry market,” said John McCaffrey, CMP’s Director of International Sales & Marketing for EMEA/India. “Business users are aggressively moving to acquire the latest technology and the channel is at the center of this growth.”
“The Middle East is advancing technologically more quickly than anyone expected,” said Ammar Kamel, COO/Editor-in-Chief for CRN and BYTE Middle East. “The people who are building the solutions need information and details on both vendor products and their programs, and that is where CRN comes in.”
CMP Media has been licensing its print, events and online products and services worldwide since 1994. Beyond licensing brands and editorial content, CMP works with licensees to provide ongoing collaborative knowledge transfer and best practices case studies in all aspects of publishing. The most recent addition to CMP’s licensing program is comprehensive training on how to build custom integrated sales and marketing programs for advertisers.
CRN has provided business technology integrators with crucial information and analysis needed to run their businesses for over 22 years. CRN Middle East is the 16th international edition in the CRN Global Network. All international editions are independently published with the majority of content coming from the local market. The CRN global network circulation is 282,793 with 58% coming from outside the US.
