Notebook computers – are tougher than you think

USA Today writer Edward Baig, took a new sub-3lb Panasonic Toughbook CF-W2 on a ride, to test its toughness. Guess what, it did well. For IBM’s also light, X40 ThinkPad, Edward dropped it a few times to test the “air bag” (drive locking mechanism) of its hard drive – and it also did just fine.
