From Smallbiztechnology.com: Millions and millions of businesses use Quickbooks. It’s easy and simple. Also, it’s got the Microsoft spin to it. Meaning…”everyone else” is using it, so you start using it.
Of course there are other vendors such as Best Software, ACCPAC, MYOB and others, but Quickbooks has the lion’s share of the market.
Software vendors live (or die) by the periodic refreshment of their products, hence version 2.0, 2.1, 3.0 or in the case of Quickbooks, “2004”.
The big decision for businesses is to decide if and when to upgrade.
