Subscription revenues for hosted-software providers will to grow at more-than-respectable rates over the next five years, according to a new report by IDC.
Worldwide software-subscription license revenues totaled US$19.9 billion in 2003, Amy Mizoras Konary, program manager of IDC’s software pricing, licensing and delivery group, tells CRM Daily. In 2008, IDC predicts, the category’s revenues will reach $42.9 billion, a compound annual growth rate of 16.6 percent.
Increased buyer interest in the hosted model and the growing number of vendors jumping into the space are the primary factors driving the growth, she says. (full story)
