I’ve been at SMBNation for the past two days and am simply amazed at the breadth of courting they’re doing for their partners, especially their small business partners.
Microsoft’s Small Business Specialist designation is a way for MSFT to give credibility and support (both technology and marketing) to partners that specialize in the small business market.
There are few vendors I know of, who court in deed and word small business partners like Microsoft does.
A successful partner needs help in two main ways 1) understanding the vendor’s technology 2) marketing technology solutions to their customers
In both of these ways, Microsoft is investing considering time and money to help their partners help themselves.
