The line’s modular approach to accessories and peripherals offers IT managers a variety of options to best fit an organization’s workforce from road warriors to desk jockeys.
More expandable options with media bays (the traditional hard disk, cd options, but also other options like a standard notebook hard disk you could buy and add, or future devices like a GPS system)
Security – built in biometric fingerprint reader
Stability – buy 20 BX series notebooks today and 6 months later don’t worry that the technology has changed and now you have to support two different versions of the notebook.
Some models incorporate WWAN access to Cingular’s nationwide EDGE network for connection to the Internet just about anywhere there is Cingular cellular coverage.
Outfitted with an optional built-in camera and pre-loaded with Sony’s Instant Video Everywhere™ or IVE service powered by GlowPoint, the BX Series is ready for instant real-time video conferencing (service subscription and broadband required). Armed with these capabilities, workers can have virtual face-to-face meetings whether participants are in the office or off-site.
