Only time will tell how this new appointment will affect small businesses, but so you know, Lenovo Group Ltd. said Wednesday it has named former Dell Inc. executive William J. Amelio as its new chief executive and president, replacing Steve Ward.
Associated Press writes Amelio’s appointment marks a turning point for the world’s No. 3 computer manufacturer after its IBM acquisition ¬? the biggest foreign takeover by a Chinese company, said Yang Yuanqing, Lenovo Group’s chairman.
“With our integration of IBM’s PC division on track and our organizational integration complete, we are accelerating our planning for our next phase of growth,” Yang said in a statement issued in Hong Kong, where the company is listed.
