Yesterday Dell launched Small Business 360, an online resource for small businesses seeking products and services, industry information and success stories to help them grow and better serve customers.
The four parts of Small Business 360 include – IT Solutions, Business Resources, Your Industry and Success Stories.
Tom West, Dell’s Director of Small Business explained that Dell Small Business 360 is not out to compete with existing information one could find from a number of already good resources such as Inc Technology, Entrepreneur, Cnet and etc.
Instead, Tom explained that SB360 leverages Dell’s own knowledge of the small business IT market. Dell touches thousands and thousands of small businesses per day through sales and support and knows small business The IT Support area for example covers four main areas: Mobility, Networking, Data Management & Storage, Security.
I’ve always said that technology vendors need to have much more on their site than just selling technology products – and Dell has done that with SB360.
I’m sure SB360 will get better and better. For example. I clicked on IT solutions, then security, and in the featured solutions there was an article entitled Wireless Technology A Boon For Business. When I clicked to this article it was an article in the business resources section, not IT section. This is a minor point, but I’d just encourage Dell to make the navigation more clear and smooth.
