Real Estate Profssionals Use Technology to Maximize Sales

Imagine the power real estate professional. They’re always in the car, going from home to home and house showing to house showing and listening to their customers. The time they spend in an office is time that they are taken away from being on the road or being with customers.
In this kind of setting, technology is simply a must. Those real estate agents who are at the top of their game have two things in common, for the most part.

  • They love their job and the people associated with it.
  • They love and appreciate how technology can be used to GROW their business.

Hewlett-Packard has a full suite of integrated solutions (printing, computer, marketing software and tech support) helping this important business sector leverage technology to grow their business.
Last week HP announced the winners of its fourth annual is available at HP Real Estate Technology contest at the 2007 National Association of REALTORS Conference and Expo. Some of the key tools real estate professionals are using are:
HP Compaq 2710p Notebook PC – Starting at 3.6 pounds, this convertible notebook combines conventional notebook productivity and tablet PC flexibility. Integrated mobile broadband capabilities allow users to stay connected in more places at broadband-like speeds. Innovative technologies include an Illumi-Lite LED display for weight and power savings, an optional integrated camera for convenient video conferencing and image capture, an HP NightLight to improve keyboard visibility in low light and integrated business card reader software. An optional 64-bit solid-state drive improves the notebook’s reliability, battery life and performance over traditional hard disk drives.
The notebook you use can make or break your day to day efficiency. Make sure your data is backed up.
HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion – This handheld GPS device features 3D maps and a high-resolution, widescreen display. Detailed 3D terrain and city maps provide more true-to-life navigation. Users can connect to a Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free. The device also serves as a premium entertainment system, allowing users to enjoy MP3 music, videos, photos and pre-installed games.
I have not yet started using a GPS device, but for a real estate professional, often traveling to places their non-familiar with, a GPS device is probably a must.
HP Real Estate Marketing Assistant (REMA) Software An updated version of The HP REMA software compatible with Microsoft Vista and Office 2007 will be available Dec. 1, 2007 and can currently be pre-ordered. Featuring an easy to use, intuitive interface and more than 600 templates, the HP REMA software makes it easy and inexpensive for real estate agents to publish their own marketing materials in-house including fliers, brochures, postcards, envelopes, business cards, newsletters and fax forms.
One real estate agent gives you a nice folder with their corporate branding. Another agent gives you coffee stained faxes. Aren’t you going to want to work with the first one?
The only thing missing from this list is a portable scanner and printer. Taking advantage of Bluetooth real estate agents can have minimal wires (great for the small working areas of cars) and maximum ergonomics.
Accessories such as a digital camera are also quite handy, enabling the real estate agent to capture photos and send them to customers or add them to a web site quickly and on demand.
We can’t leave out the power of software in this entire package. For sure a flexible contact management tool is important.
