I was recently speaking to a friend of mine and he told me to cal his “MagicJack” telephone line. I called him on his MagicJack line and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the telephone connection.
I covered MagicJack in August 2007 but it’s worth mentioning again.
For $40 for the first year and $20 for subsequent years you get a small dongle that connects to your computer via USB and connects to a regular phone line. You can then make and receive phone calls as you normally would.
If your computer is turned off imply forward your MagicJack number to your cell phone. Check it out. Read MSNBC’s write up here.
