There’s no excuse not to back up your files, especially when there are so many ways to do it.
The DriveStation FlexNet from Buffalo Technology is a cool two-in-one device – it’s an external USB hard disk that converts to a network drive. You just flip a switch and plug it into any network router, and go from backing up just one PC (or Mac) to backing up multiple networked computers.
DriveStation is ready to use out of the box, with no need to install drivers first. Once you’ve plugged the drive into the network, users just have to run a CD installation wizard that gives access to a shared public folder. The shared folder can be password protected to limit access by some users on the network.
Three different models are available through resellers and on the Buffalo Technology website: 500GB, 640GB and 1TB, with MSRPs of $149.99, $169.99 and $259.99, respectively. All come with toll-free 24/7 technical support and auto backup software.
