I interviewed Peter Shankman, of the famous Help A Reporter Out (100,000+ readers) email list, which helps journalists find experts and leads for stories, about what businesses can do to find customers.
I figured he’d have some deep insight into social media or blogging. But his simple answer was to LISTEN. He said not enough businesses LISTEN to their customers to know their needs. Instead we blab all day and communicate outwardly through our technology tools.
Lesson for you? God gave you two ears and one mouth…use them in that proportion.
