Tweet Deck posted on their blog a way for users to Tweet longer than 140 characters by linking their Tweets to Google Buzz.
While it might be tempting to Tweet out longer than 140 characters. Don’t.
First of all, keep your Tweets short, sweet, to the point and clear and point to your web site or main call to action. Twitter is about instant gratification.
Secondly, the discipline of writing a short headline is good practice to learn how to write briefly, engagingly – get to the point while making the point.
Longer Tweets might be great for some. But the whole purpose of “Tweeting” is to be brief – why ruin that experience?
