In my November 3 post I wrote about how insecure WiFi connections are and the only solution to ensure that your wireless connections are secure is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
A VPN encrypts all the traffic leaving and entering your computer. So that although your communications are still being sent in the open air for hackers to capture, the information is encrypted, so it’s useful to them.
Your company can create it’s own VPN, talk to your local IT consultant.
If that’s not an option for you Comodo has a VPN you can buy from them as a service.
The WiFi threat is real and though most of you will be fine, you just don’t know where that hacker will be who happens to steal your data or impersonate you online.
Comodo’s TrustConnect is here. For $10 a month, it’s a decent price for good security.
