Last week Fedex delivered one of those packages that everyone cranes their neck to see what’s inside.
What’s inside was a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z – all in one computer. I’m going to be trying out this computer as part of an advertising project with Lenovo. I don’t tell you about junk, so I was willing to be part of this program because I think large computers, with large and beautiful screens not only look good but can be huge productivity boosters.
The screen is a touch screen, yeah like the iPad and your smartphone! Lenovo’s web site writes:
For more intuitive PC interaction, opt for our multitouch panel2. Pan, zoom, rotate, right-click and more on the full high-definition screen. You can even control hardware functions like volume, mute, camera preview, sleep mode, microphone and system lock from your multitouch screen using our SimpleTap software. And because the touch screen is a normal glass overlay, you can safely clean and disinfect it—perfect for healthcare personnel!3
I’ll be writing more about my experience with this computer over the coming days.
I know most of the planet is focused on mobile devices and these devices are important. But when you’re sitting at the desk in your office, you want a BIG screen that lets you be as productive as you can be.
