FedEx Office Introduces Self-Service Printing from BlackBerry Smartphones and USB Flash Drives
FedEx Office (formerly FedEx Kinko’s) announced the introduction of FedEx Office Print & Go—a technology that enables customers to access and print documents directly from BlackBerry smartphones and USB flash drives on its digital copy machines. The smartphone printing feature of this new, easy-to-use solution is enabled by the HP ePrint mobile printing application. FedEx Office Print & Go can be found on select Canon printing devices within the self-service area at the company’s retail locations, providing customers added convenience and flexibility.
With the world’s largest retail printing network, FedEx Office is the only print retailer to offer convenient self-service printing from both BlackBerry smartphones and USB flash drives nationwide. FedEx Office Print & Go is now available at more than 1,600 locations and will be offered at all U.S. stores later this year. Customers can simply plug their USB flash drive or enter a retrieval code e-mailed to their BlackBerry smartphone into FedEx Office Print & Go machines and use the digital screens to select, preview and print Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF documents. In addition, customers can choose to have their print jobs produced by professionally trained team members at the full-service counter.
ShareFile Launches One and Two-Way Sync Capability for Small and Medium Businesses
ShareFile announces the launch of ShareFile Sync, a new business-centric synchronization tool that will give businesses the ability to continuously synchronize files and folders across users’ specific folder workflow using their ShareFile Account. The new feature will also include one-way sync capability to address scenarios where greater customization is required to protect important shared files and folders.
ShareFile’s web-based solution is a secure tool that allows companies to transfer large business files easily, securely and professionally.
The Sync feature provides two-way synchronization in addition to one-way sync which enables businesses to choose to protect certain folders by creating an ‘upload only’ setup. This feature supports Windows and Mac OS and requires Adobe Air 2.0+.
