Manish Mehta direct’s Dell’s social media efforts – it’s no an easy job, with thousands of customers and hundreds of products in thousands of different configurations. There are lots of customers to listen to and engage with. However, Dell’s new social media center and global training helps ensure that Dell is able to effectively leverage social media and other digital tools to help support, market and sell Dell products and services.
Manish told me that even with email marketing being “old fashioned” it’s not dead. In fact all forms of digital communication are relevant, including email marketing as long as it points back to the digital property (such as a web site) of the small business.
