Using Phone Calls To Boost Email Response Rates

In the story by Karen Bannan, F5 Networks utilized the services of guided voicemail provider Boxpilot to help them reach out to CIOs and director-level prospects.
In a 2010 email marketing campaign to promote a series of IT disaster recovery solutions, F5 Networks sent out emails, then on the same day Boxpilot’s call managers left pre-recorded messages on the prospects voicemail notifying them of the email delivery.
Boxpilot employs live agents, to ensure the correct person’s voicemail box is reached. As an added benefit, the voicemail component allowed F5 Networks to update its campaign list, removing contacts no longer at the company and adding their replacements’ names.
