As we surf the web, we all encounter web ads that claim to deliver thousands of twitter followers for you. For all you business brands out there, just stop and think for a moment. The goal is to not get lost in the mesmerizing numbers of twitter followers. The goal is for businesses to truly connect with their target audiences. There will always be numbers and statistics thrown into the social media realm.
But social media strategists for your company need to make a decision: do you want your social media to be spammy or genuine?
It’s not truly wise to pay money for twitter followers or twitter automation programs that will somehow get your more twitter followers in no time. A better business strategy with social media is to ask yourselves:
-How can I truly connect with my audience members in a humanized and personal level with my brand?
-What am I doing that might feel like spam to my audience and turn them off?
-How can I maintain that personal connection between my brand and my audience on a cost-effective level?
The answers to these questions can be as little as doing due diligence and educating yourself on social media in the right way. Relationship marketing seems to complement social media very well. Considering your budget and how much social media help can you bring on makes a social media business strategy more concrete as well.
The next time you get swooned into social media promises that look to good to be true, ask yourself, “Does my social media strategy want to be like spam?”
