For the past few weeks I’ve been testing out an HP ProBook 4430 (It’s long battery life is real nice). The challenge of testing notebooks and working on a variety of computers is that I have a different configuration with each computer.
However, recently I’ve synchronized Google Chrome and now have my browsers and other browser based functions connected no matter which computer I’m using.
Computers great tools, but I’m finding that the less I rely on software the more productive I am. MANY OF YOU KNOW THIS ALREADY, however, for those who do not know, you are missing out on a big opportunity by not pushing more of your “software” to the cloud.
Today for example, Adobe released a file sharing tool “Adobe SendNow” which competes directly with Yousendit.com and other file sharing tools.
The browser is one of the most important pieces of software you’ll use on a computer – make sure you know how powerful it is.
Think of all the things you do in your office. Can you do all of them, just as well from any other computer:
- File access
Inventory your “in office” productivity and ensure that you can be as productive out of the office as in the office.
Maybe some of your processes require access to your server, for example, work with your local IT consultant or search online for a solution that enables you to work within a browser, from any computer.
Telecommunications? Phone calls? Voice mail and more? There are a myriad of solutions for your business. Ring Central and so much more.
