Yola is a great place for free sites. They have no forced ad and allow 1GB of free bandwidth. I made a site with them and also practice the SEO tips from this article.

A great way to keep you website content fresh, is to develop and post press releases on all your business news (such as new products/services, new customer wins, special programs you are offering, awards, events, etc.) Using press releases on your website helps your SEO, but also gives you exposure to the media, and provides a tool for your sales teams to use when calling prospects.

    Great article, thanks!

This reply is to all really. I struggle with this side of things and I’m
no novice! I’m beginning to understand that there is no free way of
attracting visitors, everything these days depends on money and when you
haven’t got any and want to earn it, it’s really tough. Yola has been a real asset to me and I have no issues with this invaluable tool. It’s the likes of Google, Yahoo and many other big names that I have problems: money attracts money – small fry go to hell!

    • http://Smallbiztechnology.com Ramon Ray

well – if time is money then for sure there is no free way!

    Directory Browsing This
describes if your server allows directory browsing. If directory
browsing is disabled, visitors will not be able to browse your directory
by accessing the directory directly (if there is no index.html file).
This will protect your files from being exposed to the public.
server appears to allow directory browsing. If directory browsing is
enabled, visitors will be able to browse your directory by accessing the
directory directly (if there is no index.html file). Apache web server
allows directory browsing by default. Disabling directory browsing is
a good idea from a security standpoint. Read more on how to disable
directory browsing and improve your website’s security.

Link building much? The same article is linked like 5 times.

    • http://Smallbiztechnology.com/ Ramon Ray

Maria thanks so much. Can u explain please?

I am just a passerby making some research to further my knowledge of SEO. I did find the article helpful but I do not need to be linked to the same Yola guide every paragraph, every 8 words. There’s more legitimate ways of bringing traffic to a website -as I am learning- and this type of link building isn’t ideal, is it? And it just strikes me as ironic finding it within a guide to SEO.

As a “Technology Evangelist” I am pretty sure you have more knowledge of this than me so just take it as a humble opinion of someone from the audience passing by.

        Have a great day.

Maria – thanks so much and you make a GREAT point…we’re trying to do better!
