I have been using an evaluation version of SafeSync for Business from Trend Micro for about a week now. My new laptop had been pestering me about data backup ever since I got it, and the opportunity presented itself with this evaluation to backup my data on the cloud. So, I went for it, with pleasing results.
SafeSync for Business is really simple to use. Just make the purchase, download the program to your computer, and add the files that you want backed up. Files can also be synchronized, meaning that every time the files are updated, they are updated in the data backup system as well. This means that you don’t have worry about updating it on a regular basis in case something happens. It’s already done for you.
The great thing about this synchronization is that the process doesn’t have to detract from doing other things. You can limit the amount of broadband the process takes through the “Configuration” panel, so you can use the Internet without dealing with slow speeds. If you need to shut down the computer, the process will start back up right where it stopped when you turn the computer on again. Over 60 percent of small businesses surveyed reported lost data due to hardware failure. With SafeSync for Business, no hardware is required, and even if you’re computer breaks down or your hard drive crashes, the files are still accessible online.
Initially, SafeSync for Business comes with three users, but more can be purchased if necessary. Purchasing more seats also comes with additional storage space, an additional 50 GB per seat. About 60 percent of companies that lose their data will shut down within six months of the disaster. Why leave your precious data to chance?
Even though I am a business of one, with need of only the 150 GB that SafeSync starts out with, I understand that I would be up the creek without a paddle if anything ever happened to my client files and my written work. Any business that’s bigger than one person would certainly have much more data to protect and to worry about when it’s not backed up. I would recommend SafeSync for Business for that peace of mind. It’s very easy to use. With synchronization, you back up happens automatically, and you don’t have to maintain any hardware components. Just back it up and you’re done.
