When we hear of the company Adobe, we usually think of PDFs and Photoshop. Although those are certainly Adobe services, Adobe is currently expanding its web-based services in order to help small and medium-sized businesses work and collaborate better.
“We are in this for the long haul,” said Todd Gerber, Group Product Marketing Manager at Adobe. “These services are trusted and highly secure. We’re listening to customer feedback to enhance capabilities.”
Below is a list and descriptions of all the online services from Adobe for small and medium-sized business. Besides the PDF programs that most people are familiar with, there are also the document exchange and collaboration services that Adobe has improved within the past few months:
Adobe Document Exchange & Collaboration Services:
- Adobe EchoSign – to easily sign, send, track and file contracts electronically, including PDF and Word files
“It costs between $17 and $20 per envelope to send a contract overnight,” Gerber said. “For just $20 a month, you can eradicate these costs and simplify the time it takes to sign a contract and do more business.”
Adobe acquired EchoSign in July as part of Adobe’s commitment to augment its desktop offerings and reduce the need for small businesses to involve IT staff or other IT firms in meeting every single technical need.
“These services are targeted to empower knowledge workers and to meet niche needs,” Gerber said.
- Adobe FormsCentral – to create, distribute, and analyze forms or surveys
What sets FormsCentral apart from similar services is the ability for the small business to analyze the survey data quickly. Once the data starts coming in, small businesses can develop reports and view the data graphically. No more exporting the data the other programs or waiting for the survey time to run out before being able to take action on the results.
“With FormsCentral, users can work from templates or create forms from scratch,” Gerber said.
FormsCentral comes in a Basic plan ($14.99/month) and in a Plus plan ($16.58/month).
- Adobe SendNow – to send and track files, even large ones like audio and video files
The ability to send audio and video is one of the new features Adobe announced in May. Small businesses using SendNow can also personalize notifications with the company logo and access the application from the desktop. There’s a range of service options available: from SendNow Free, to SendNow Basic at $9.99 per month and SendNow Plus at $19.99 per month. All services also come with a free trial.
Adobe PDF Services:
- Adobe CreatePDF – to convert and combine PDF files that anyone can read with free Adobe Reader software
- Adobe ExportPDF – to turn your PDF files into editable Word documents
“It’s about eliminating the world of paper, which comes with lots of costs,” Gerber said. “Our services have an ease of use, and allow for a customizable workflow to fit a diversity of companies.”
