Introducing myJoblinx, which taps into the Facebook network of your friends, or your employees, to showcase jobs, to find referrals, and to highlight the “employment brand” of your business. Essentially, job hunters and employers can find one another by leveraging social networks such as Facebook. For this week’s App of the Week, Smallbiztechnology.com sat down with app co-founder Raj Singh to get to the nuts and bolts of this new recruiting tool.
1. What is Myjoblinx?
MyJoblinx is a social recruiting solution on Facebook. We make it easy for companies to recruit talent on Facebook. Our primary solution is targeted at companies looking to showcase their employment brand and recruit candidates on Facebook. We have clients ranging from small startups (Kixeye, Cloudera, Digital Chocolate, etc) to Fortune-500 companies (Agilent, Adobe, etc). For Facebook users, we offer the ability to search over 3 million jobs, see where their friends work, and ask them for referrals.
2. How does it work?
For companies, we offer a myJoblinx careers tab that they can install on their fan page. By doing so, a company can showcase their employment brand and jobs, invite Facebook users to join the company’s unique talent network, and the ability for a Facebook user to see their connections at that company and ask for an employee referral. myJoblinx offers detailed analytics to client companies so they have a clear view of the solution is performing.
For Facebook users, they can search over 3 million jobs, join a company’s talent network to stay connected, and ask their Facebook friends for a referral to the company.
3. Why use Facebook as a platform as opposed to a stand alone application?
Our background (the founders) is in Recruiting, and myJoblinx was born out of a real need to recruit talent off the Facebook platform. Facebook has over 750m users and this makes it the perfect place for a Recruiter to find talent. However, it is very difficult to harness the power of Facebook for recruiting in an organized way. myJoblinx makes it easy to recruit talent on Facebook.
4. How much does it cost?
MyJoblinx is very affordtable for companies because of a tiered pricing structure. The cost ranges from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars, depending on various elements such as; number of open jobs, number of users, etc.
