For whatever reason, you want to make sure this data doesn’t end up in anyone else’s hands, and want to delete it once and for all. Destroying a hard drive is the only 100 percent way to ensure that the data is gone, but getting rid of the hard drive isn’t always the best option, especially if we’d like to use that hard drive again for something else.
