Their HP t200 Zero Client for MultiSeat is a package of a central computer server with special software and $99 gadgets for each user (slightly larger than a deck of cards – not the user, the gadget) that lets you connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to a central computer system for a full Windows experience. Instead of buying 5 computers at $400 each, you can buy a server and up to 15 Zero Client’s for $99 each.
With less computers to manage and a central management system, your employees get the computing power they need and you get the ability to expand your business faster and cheaper.
This is desktop virtualization technology that you might want to look into. It’s not for every user and some users will want or need a full powered computer that they have more control over.
But for those users who need the basic applications or mainly just access to the web, this solution could be pretty compelling.
