As you know, Steve Jobs, founder of Apple computer died today.
His legacy, is in two parts.
One is the overall creation of Apple computer which was a scrappy competitor to Microsoft and PC vendors for many years.
Second, when the “i” series of products was launched – iPod, iPhone, iTouch, iPad Steve Jobs ushered in a transformation of the stagnant mobile computing market.
Apple’s entry into the market was the catalyst of Google launching Android, Black Berry’s dominance on the corporate mobile market being seriously challenged and Windows Mobile franchise being severely challenged and stimulating Microsoft to rethink it’s entire mobile strategy.
Steve Jobs will be missed for showing us that technology needs to be feature rich, fun, well designed and not necessarily cheap. Steve, thanks for enabling more powerful mobile technology for consumers and businesses and especially small businesses.
