I just got off the phone with Mihir Nanavati, Head of Product Management at file sharing company Yousendit who walked me through some of the new features of Yousendit.
Some of the new features that Yousendit. recently rolled out include:
Adding folders to the Yousendit web (or computer desktop) interface to allow customers to more easily organize their Yousendit files in the cloud from anywhere (no longer just saving that link and crossing your fingers).
Ability to add electronic signatures (via scribbling with your mouse or an image stored on your computer) to documents. So you’re in a taxi and you need to sign a document you can do this from your smart phone (or computer) very, slick and powerful.
Yousendit also enables you to manage your folder permissions much easier and extensively than its competitors.
Mihir recognized that some people need to send files larger than the 2GB that Yousendit currently has and that file limit is gradually being lifted.
I’ve used both Yousendit and Dropbox for a long time with my main file sharing tool being Dropbox. With these new changes maybe I’ll start using Yousendit more.
Check out this video for more information (Mihir’s the guy with the shaved head).
