Small business owners and employees are often tasked with many different roles such as marketing, accounting, sales and HR duties. But thanks to cloud-based applications, small businesses can now automate certain functions to help make up for the lack of staff within their company. TribeHR is one such solution that affordably organizes and streamlines human resources functions. This week’s App of the Week, a guest post from Michele Nachum of GetApp.com, is a virtual HR department for small businesses.
TribeHR is an intuitive solution that assists small businesses with a variety of tasks such as managing employee information, tracking the number of sick versus vacation days as well as draft job openings. Their monthly subscriptions start at $19 per month, so the solution is accessible for any size budget.
When you sign up for TribeHR, the first thing you will do is create your website that will host all of your company HR information. Don’t worry about programming or coding – the solution does it for you automatically when you sign up. You can then populate your home page or “overview” with information such as the number of vacation and sick days you and your employees have, job postings, company events and schedules.

TribeHR offers advice on to how to draft your job posting and you can keep track of these postings in your TribeHR website.
TribeHR makes it easy for employees to ask permission to take vacation days. Employees can send the request via email and managers can approve or not as the case may be. In addition, TribeHR will automatically track the number of vacation days an employee has left.
