Making Landlines Cheaper with Ooma (Video)

Landlines may be a bit passe, but they are still very useful for a home office or a brick and mortar business. But, setting one up can be costly and difficult. Plus, you already have the Internet and a mobile phone, so although a landline may be useful, it’s just another bill that’s going to eat up money. Right?

Dennis Peng, vice president of product management at Ooma, introduces the Ooma Telo device that allows for free U.S calls and incredibly low international rates. Besides the international calls, the only other fees are the local charges, which range betweeen $3 and $4 per month. The Ooma devices connects your Internet to your landline phone, providing additional phone service without the additional cost.
